Aryna Sabalenka

Her birthplace her birthplace is Minsk located in Belarus. Sergey Sabalenka (d. 2019) is her father who plays hockey. Aryna Sabalenka was born in Minsk 5 May 1998. She has won 12 WTA titles in her career, including her Grand Slam of 2023 Australian Open. Doubles is her forte and she has also won Majors at both the US Open (2019) and Australian Open (2021), both of which were together with Elise Mertens. It was the Sunshine Double was achieved by her and Elise in 2019. Together, they won the WTA 1000s in Indian Wells & Miami. The feat only four pairs in women's Doubles were able to accomplish it. She rose from second to third on the world singles rankings on 23 August 2021. Her highest rank was also achieved in the month of January 2023. In doubles however she pushed herself up to first place in February of the same year following her victory in Melbourne making her the second tennis player from Belarus to be a part of this specialty. Dmitry Tursunov was her coach in 2018 until the end of her season in 2019, and also briefly at the start of 2020. Dieter Kindlmann also served as her coach for short periods between August and September of 2020. Antonio Dubrov has been her coach since the year 2020. Serena Williams & Maria Sharapova are her main inspirations.
